About the Journal
Jurnal Penelitian Keperawatan Kontemporer (JPKK) is the official journal of the Nursing Study Program of the Surabaya College of Health Sciences (Stikes Surabaya). This journal is an open-access journal, peer-reviewed, and published every 6 months (January and July) with a minimum of 5 articles per issue.
Jurnal Penelitian Keperawatan Kontemporer aims to promote the research papers of clinical nurses, lecturers, and nursing students and contribute to the development of nursing science from the Indonesian perspective.
Jurnal penelitian keperawatan kontemporer (JPKK) focuses on nursing fields (Medical Surgery, Emergency, Child, Maternity, Mental, Gerontic, Management, Family and Community) and specifically related to the learning process and curriculum development, complementary therapy, innovation, the current trends, and issues in nursing.
Jurnal penelitian keperawatan kontemporer (JPKK) accepts research articles (quantitative, qualitative, and mix-method) as well as literature reviews. JPKK does not accept articles that have been or are being published in other journals.
All manuscripts submitted to JPKK are examined by the editorial team related to their suitability for scope and quality. If the editorial board has decided that your manuscript is of sufficient quality and in accordance with the scope of the journal JPKK then the manuscript will be submitted for review, JPKK using a peer-reviewed, double-blind. Double-blind peer-review is a method of peer review by a peer in a field where the identities of the reviewer and the author are hidden, so the reviewer does not know whose article he is reviewing and the author as well. To ensure this process runs, the editorial team must remove the identity of both the author and reviewer before the article is sent to the reviewer or the correspondence writer. This process will be reviewed by at least one expert in their field.
At JPKK we do our best to have the manuscript reviewed as quickly as possible, to ensure that reviewers will be asked for the results of their review (comments and suggestions) within 2 weeks. Decision making on the results of the review is carried out by the editor in chief following the category: "Accepted / Accepted with minor revisions / Major revisions / Rejected"
In accordance with the trend in publication, we checked all manuscripts before entering the review process. Authors are warned that plagiarism is a serious academic offense. Manuscripts with plagiarism above 25% will be returned to the author for revision before entering the review process (sent to the reviewer).
