Abstract

ABSTRACK

Breastfeeding is an effective way for the health and survival of children by providing breast milk to infants from the mother's breast since birth and for at least 6 months to 2 years or more. Enhancement for improving the smoothness of breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers can be done with non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is the provision of moringa leaf pudding. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of moringa leaf pudding on improving breastfeeding smoothness in breastfeeding mothers.

This method uses quantitative research. The type of research is quasi-experimental. The design used in this study is One group pre-test post-test. The number of samples used was 32 people. Data collection techniques use purposive sampling technique. Data from each pretest and posttest group will be tested using the Wilcoxon test to determine if there is a change or not.

The results showed a difference in the average before and after being given moringa leaf pudding treatment as well as a significant relationship (p=0.001<0.05) in the improvement of breastfeeding smoothness at pre and posttest, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted which means there is an influence of moringa leaf pudding on the improvement of breastfeeding smoothness in breastfeeding mothers.
