The community service program "Building Competent UKS Cadres" at SMK TPI Gedangan Sidoarjo aims to improve the quality of the School Health Unit (UKS) through training and recruitment of skilled cadres. The main problem faced is the lack of competent UKS cadres in handling minor health problems and providing first aid. Through this program, potential students are recruited and trained using simulation methods to improve their practical skills. The implementation method includes identifying needs, preparing a training curriculum, selecting instructors, and a transparent recruitment process. The training was conducted in three sessions, focusing on basic health knowledge, emergency case handling skills, communication techniques, and UKS program management. The evaluation showed a significant increase in cadre skills, with an average written test score of 78 and a practical score of 82. The survey results showed an urgent need for effective health education and a clear role for UKS cadres. The program successfully recruited 30 cadres, with a participant satisfaction rate of 76% and teacher satisfaction of 80%. In conclusion, this program not only meets the urgent need for skilled UKS cadres but also contributes to improving the quality of health services in schools.
